Of course, this isn't a computer post since I really have nothing to say right now on computers. Essentially, because of this lockdown we have I have, well, nothing to do, so I'm making some random drinks ~ for example, I tried ice-brewing green tea, which was a disaster since it wasn't pure green tea, and as a result, the output was rather... bitter.
So, for the moment, I've been sticking to the traditional bagged black, green, and herbal teas. However, this will not be for long. I have plans to cold-brew coffee soon, and right now, make bubble tea. It turns out that I already have the "boba," or bubbles, which are basically tapioca pearls, so that's incredibly convenient, since I'd like to reduce going outside, well, you know. That being said, (probably) don't follow this recipe. It is bad. I'll probably make another recipe later that is... better. And actually uses tea.
Here's a recipe:
- Boiled tapioca pearls
- 0.75c strawberries (or any other fruit you want)
- 0.25 pineapples (as a sweetener)
- Milk (I used almond milk)
- (Optional) Sweetener of choice
Some notes. I'm not sure how much tapioca pearls were used but they were boiled until they turned clear (note that these were clear tapioca pearls, but I think there are other varieties as well). Either way, you should probably use more water than tapioca pearls.
Once that's done, just put the fruits in a blender, fill the blender with milk so that it is "above" the rest of the fruit, and add how much and whatever kind of sweetener you want. Please don't add oatmeal to this like I did unless you want your drink's consistency and texture to be awful, or you actually like oatmeal in boba tea for whatever reason. Then, blend it the consistency is smooth, pour it into a glass, add some boba, and add a straw. You might also want to mix the boba so that it is more evenly spread out throughout the drink.
And then, apparently, you're done... enjoy, if you like it.
Here's my result (albeit with a less optimal recipe, but mostly the same):
